The oldest cultivated sorrel still around. ‘Belleville’ was domesticated in France during the 1730s. Sorrel de Belleville is a small French cultivar with pale green leaves that are 8cm (3in) long. It is hardy, fast growing and productive under almost any conditions. This herb has a citrus lemon flavour.
