CAPSICUM frutescens x annuum Lancer
A Gourmet Genetics exclusive
Derived from a cross between Capsicum frutescens and Capsicum annuum var glabriusculum, Lancer fruits much earlier in the season while inheriting much of flavour of its parents.
Fairly tall upright growing plants with soft green leaves carry very large crops of slender, upright bright red chillies. The chillies themselves are deciduous and so are very easy to harvest and ideally suited to drying. With an outstanding flavour and moderate pungency, Lancerâ„¢ is one of the most useful chillies in the kitchen and goes particularly well with mushrooms.
